The context is, a man tricks a girl into falling in love with him so he may gain knowledge the girl has--so, "deception of the heart," I guess. Bonjour! As the title says, I have a question concerning the adjective "osé." I have recently started using "Lola Osée"--"Daring Lola"--as my fanfic penname, after the Superbus song "Lola" ("Oh là, Lola sait / Lola, c’est osé"). The verb douter confuses me. There are a lot of words and expressions that I don't feel comfortable using myself, but douter gets me confused even when I'm hearing someone else use it, or seeing it written. Can anyone clarify this for me?
